Frenchman's Cap, Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, Tas, Au
A brilliant but sometimes brutal 46km hike through some characteristic Tasmanian wilderness. Well-defined, well-maintained tracks, as well as scrambling and cairns at the summit. Breathtaking views, a variety of ecosystems, and comfortable trail huts. Well worth the walk for the well prepared. Frenchman's Cap is an iconic climb. Weather windows are often rare in this remote region on Tasmania however the scenery and climb from the undulating plains to the summit is simply spectacular.

The Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park lies between the Central Highlands and West Coast Range of Tasmania in the heart of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.
