Canoe Expeditions offer something different. Physically demanding in different ways than expedition hiking, they offer the luxury of more diversity in food, a more relaxed approach to seeing the landscape and opportunities to explore places where hiking would take days to reach if at all. A fresher perspective! The alpine lakes high on the Kosciusko plains are almost surreal in their starkness while tannin filled lakes such as Lake Pedder in Tasmania and the many lakes of the East Coast of Australia offer brilliant photo opportunities due to the clarity of the reflections in the water. Where our larger expedition hikes are minimal and needs based regarding equipment and gear, our canoe expeditions are experiences with many options, as luxurious or basic as you want to make them with sunrises and sets like nowhere else.
